Airoforce was extremely precocious, as a Juvenile. He earned over $129,000 per start winning 3 of 4 starts, 2 Graded Stakes Wins and 2nd in the G1 Breeders Cup Juvenile Turf.
Airoforce is Colonel John’s most accomplished son. He has the long, lean elegance of a classic Thoroughbred, reminiscent of his sire Colonel John and second damsire, Canadian Champion With Approval.

Airoforce receives his precocious speed from his multiple stakes placed sprinter dam Chocolate Pop who no doubt got her speed from her Sire Cuvee and Grand Sire Carson City, both Breeders Cup Sprinters.

He gets his stamina from his sire Colonel John and grandsire Tiznow, the only horse to win the Breeders Cup Classic two years in a row. Who can forget the track announcer saying “Tiznow wins for America”!.

Versatile and Competitive

Airoforce was victorious at distances ranging between 6 1/2-furlongs and 1 1/16-miles. Although he competed mainly on turf, that was due to economic reasons and not pedigree.

The decision to have Airoforce start on the Turf at Kentucky Downs was all about the 120,000.00 purse vs. the 38,000.00 purse at Ellis Park.  He won that first race just a few ticks off the track record.

Airoforce beat a very strong field on the dirt in the Kentucky Jockey Club, defeating multiple Graded Stakes winners, Gun Runner, Mor Spirit, Rated R Superstar, Camelot Kitten, and Graded Stakes Winner Mo Tom to name a few.

Airoforce was clearly extremely competitive on all surfaces and distances, and thus far his progeny are showing the same ability winning on dirt, turf, and slop!

Colonel John
Airoforce’s sire, Colonel John (Tiznow – Sweet Damsel, by Turkoman) was capable from seven furlongs to 1 1/4-miles over dirt, turf, and synthetics. He retired as a 4-year-old with a record of 15-6-3-1 ($1,779,012).

As a Sire, Colonel John was ranked as the #3 with his first crop, #4 second crop, #2 third crop and #1 fourth crop before the Stallion Farm in South Korea made an offer to large to refuse and he moved overseas when he was sold to North Korea.
Chocolate Pop - Airoforce's Dam
Chocolate Pop, by Cuvee
Chocolate Pop was sired by Cuvee out of the With Approval mare White Chocolate.

Chocolate Pop is a very highly regarded broodmare, she recently sold for $465,000 and since Airoforce hit the track her last 5 progeny have sold for $265,000, $300,000, $450,000 and most recently $350,000.
