See what people are saying
  • I was first introduced to Jeff Jeans through facebook when I saw his postings regarding his stallions Airoforce and Uncle Vinny. I recently moved from New Mexico to Oklahoma and remember watching Airoforce beat Gun Runner and Mor Spirit in the Kentucky Jockey Club.

I decided to venture to the farm where I could put my eyes on Airoforce and Uncle Vinny. I was so impressed by the appearance of both I decided to breed a couple mares to them.

During this visit I had the opportunity to meet Jeff and listen to his passion about bloodlines and breeding. I quickly realized this had been a passion of his for 50 years and he had done a ton of research.

Jeff showed my his programs, explained in layman terms how they worked and then showed me the numerous validation studies he had completed which strongly supported what he was communicating.

I was so impressed I joined Jeff in purchasing two yearlings out of the Keenland January sale which we will offer for sale in the October yearling sale. Jeff picked the pedigrees we needed to look at and I picked the yearlings with the most impressive confirmations. As a side note, In looking at these two colts, I am convinced we got it right!

I would strongly recommend anyone wanting to breed that special horse, they contact Jeff Jeans for assistance.

  • I first met Jeff when he brought Airoforce and Uncle Vinny to stand at my farm in Pennsylvania. Jeff has since moved his stallions and mares to the southwest so he can be closer to them.

I currently stand Brody’s Cause and Smarty Jones.

I have watched Jeff over the years expand his knowledge on pedigrees and breeding to the point that I rarely approve a breeding to any of my stallions without Jeff looking at them first.

His detailed analysis and his ability to put on paper the strengths and weaknesses of the breeding in terms my clients understand is amazing.

I am excited about what the future holds for Brody’s Cause and Smarty Jones having taken advantage of the advanced breeding software programs Jeff has become very proficient in using and would highly recommend any breeder or buyer consult with Jeff regarding future breeding or purchase plans.

  • Jeff Jeans has been a great asset to my breeding program.

With the tools he uses he can assess your mare’s compatibility with his stallions, and he will be first to tell you if they are not a great match.

He has run numerous reports for me, and one mare I own did not match with his stallions, so he was willing to run several mating crosses until he found one that was good fit.

He has a great understanding of the software he uses and the Tesio model for breeding and seems to be continuously studying to expand his knowledge. He provides a great service that gives you piece of mind knowing you are making the best decisions possible when picking a stallion to mate with your mare and hopefully come up with a future Champion.

I look forward to working with him for years to come.

  • Working with Jeff for my 2024 breeding plans has been so helpful, especially finding the best match for our mares in their required AR state stallion rotation.

He is passionate about the science and his ability to break down a very complicated analysis was so beneficial to selecting the best stallions for our mares.

I’m excited to see the 2025 results of these matings and even more excited to see them wear our silks in 2028.

  • COLONEL JOHN is not a stallion name that pops up very often in your average pedigree since the dual Gr1 winner at 3 who had a near miss at the Holywood Futurity Gr1 at 2 left USA to take up stud duties abroad quite early. As it happens, Colonel John is the damsire of Mystik Dan the 150th KY Derby winner last Saturday.

Colonel John's brilliant son AIROFORCE, ERSS Rated 98 standing at Caines Stallion Station OK.,  offers a first class opportunity to breed to the sire line at an excellent VFM fee of $2,500.

AIROFORCE was a very talented horse running big both on dirt and on the turf at the highest level and was an Eclipse Award finalist at 2.

Adding to his quality is his dam sire, the excellent sprinter CUVEE himself a monster of a 2 year old who won the Gr1 Belmont Futurity by more than 8 lengths!! He is wrongly bypassed only because he was exported early to stand in Turkey where he thrived.

Dont miss this opportunity to breed to the brilliant AIROFORCE, talk to Jeff at www.lonestarstallions.com
