Truenicks vs. Pedigrees 360
Which One is Better?
Every Monday morning I receive an email from TrueNicks showing me which reports have been run on Airoforce or Uncle Vinny. Every time I look at them I get frustrated that the breeders have not contacted me directly and asked me to run a pedigrees360 report or a G1 Goldmine (or both). Why? (see below)
As an example I have attached two images, one is the Truenicks report and the other is pedigrees360 report for Airforce and a mare named "A Smile A Day”.
Truenicks Report: Hypothetical Mating between Airoforce and A Smile A Day
The report is N/R and it runs the mating using Airoforces Grand Sire Tiznow and the broodmares Great Grand Sire Langfuhr and his son's.
This report leaves out the bloodlines of Colonel John, Cuvee, Carson City, Chocolate Pop, Sweet Damsel, Turkoman, all blacktype performers and the list goes on.
The second image I have attached is this same mating ran through the pedigrees360 report which includes every drop of blood in the pedigree of the hypothetical progeny. AND...what a report, this is an excellent mating.
Seven of the eight breedshaping families are present in the report. 5 are green dots all at the champion or higher level. The cross duplication report is excellent and so is the sex balance report.
This is definitely a mare that would get a significant discount off the stud fee, it is a spectacular mating. But the breeder will never know, because they looked at Truenicks which gave them almost zero information!
PLEASE if you want to run a mating report with one of the stallions at Caines Stallion Station, send the mare's name, the reports are free and if we don't have a good match, we will find the best stallion for your mare at no cost to you!
